Team Ubuntu’s 7th-Grade Girls’ Team captured two more championships within a two-week span. Team Ubuntu’s 7th-grade team consists of players that are 5th-grade, 6th-grade, and 7th-grade. This young team competed within mixed 7th-/8th-grade divisions, against teams that were primarily filled with 8th-graders. On November 10th, 2019, Team Ubuntu won the Potomac Valley Basketball League’s Fall league and tournament championship. Then on November 17th, 2019, Team Ubuntu won the Mid-Atlantic Fall Hoops Classic Tournament, within a division of 16 other teams, mostly 8th-grade teams. This is another significant accomplishment for a team that continues to develop, shine and establish itself as one of the top AAU/Travel teams within a very competitive Mid-Atlantic region!
